This post is titled Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque by author SoulJah. DSC_8073 (by SoulJah)

Was doing a bit of shooting at Sheraton, which comes up in the next post, and I was driving over to Hua Ho to check out a lens case for my smaller lenses, when I saw the shimmering reflection off of the nation's most famous landmark, the golden domes of the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. When I stopped by closer to take this photo, I saw other BruneiForever Forum members also taking shots here, as well as various other people taking snapshots of the great mosque. The facelift which had just concluded recently really brought out the splendour of the dome.

This post is titled KL Trippin' part 1 by author SoulJah. Sunlight Cascading from the Heavens (by SoulJah)
I'm gonna post just the photos I took from my first morning in KL which I did a bit of sightseeing, going around to KL Tower and the Petronas Twin Towers. Lovely people, lovely sights, lovely nightlife. In short, I had an awesome time shooting and exploring that city, which I can safely say, that never sleeps.

If you people know the reason I went there, you know how to get to my Flickr and check out the stuff I took. Definitely not gonna post it here.

The lads wanted to hang out last night at the Arch, so after much contemplation I decided against bringing the 50mm f/1.4 and just stick on the Sigma 14mm f/3.5 and figured I just either shoot at ISO1600 or just do some really trick long exposures.

Fandi got ahold of it and started playing around with it, manual focusing and all. Let me tell ya, I was so proud at that moment, much akin to a mother duck teaching a duckling how to swim.

Anyway, I guess I'd better get used to this $700 mistake, and by the looks of it, it might come along with me on solitary long exposure night outings now. This thing is not at all bad at night time.

I like how it keeps the columns relatively straight, and not go fisheye on me.
