Some have claimed to have eaten them. Something about good for the blood. Speaking of which, they have blue blood if I recall correctly. Our very own God’s Gift said he once ate one on a dare. As for me, there’s not enough money in the world to get me to eat one.
These things used to be a common occurence at my Kampong, where the river meets the land, and it used to be clear and sandy; they used to come up to shore, one or two at a time. I remember seeing them on beaches as well, but these things are a rare occurence now. I don’t know what happened to them.
