I have been following the family's ordeal through Engadget, and it's with great sorrow to inform you that he has succumbed to the winter temperature in the wilderness of Oregon. The family has been missing for almost two weeks, and worried about his family, James set off to look for help. While the rest of his family was found after a rescue effort was carried out, unfortunately he didn't make it. Condolences go out to his family..
